About this tool
Address Checksum verifies EVM address format and EIP-55 checksum: 0x plus 40 hex characters, with casing that embeds a check to catch some entry errors before transfer.
Paste in bulk; each line is labeled valid checksum, all-lower/all-upper (legal but unchecked), bad checksum, or invalid format, with a recommended checksum form.
Checksums detect typos, not poisoned lookalikes that share start and end characters. Transfer decisions still require a full-character comparison.
How to use

FAQ
Can I use an all-lowercase Ethereum address?
Yes. All-lower or all-upper is valid but carries no EIP-55 check. Prefer checksum form so wallets can re-validate.
What does an EIP-55 checksum error mean?
At least one letter's casing disagrees with the Keccak-derived check—often a copy error or tampering. Do not transfer to it.
Can Address Checksum tell which chain an address is on?
No. The same 0x address is format-valid on many EVM chains; chain context comes from later transaction choice, not the string alone.
Does a passing checksum mean a safe payee?
No. Format checks do not prove control or identity. Watch for lookalikes and verify the counterparty independently.
