Password Generator
Password Generator creates strong random passwords with crypto.getRandomValues in your local browser. Set length, character sets and entropy; not uploaded.
Calculations and checks on this page run in your browser. Private keys and seed phrases are never uploaded to the server.
About this tool
Password Generator produces high-entropy passwords in your local browser—a basic control against exchange, email and wallet-adjacent account compromise.
It uses crypto.getRandomValues locally. You can set length and character classes, and exclude lookalikes such as 0/O and 1/l.
Entropy (bits) is estimated from alphabet size and length; ≥ 80 bits is a common high-strength reference threshold.
How to use
- Set password length (16+ recommended).
- Choose character types: uppercase, lowercase, digits, symbols.
- Optionally exclude lookalike characters and set batch count.
- Generate, then copy into a trusted password manager—do not share via screenshot or plain chat.
FAQ
How long should a random password be?
Prefer ≥ 16 characters mixing several classes; critical accounts such as exchanges and email often warrant ≥ 20.
What does password entropy (bits) mean?
It measures guess-space on a log scale; each extra bit roughly doubles expected brute-force work.
Can Password Generator create a BIP39 seed phrase?
No. Seed phrases need the BIP39 wordlist and checksum—use a proper wallet or hardware device.
Are generated passwords uploaded to a server?
No. Passwords exist only in the current browser session and clear when you close the page; there is no upload path.
