About this tool

Gas Fee Calculator estimates EVM fees as gas_used × effective_gas_price. Usage depends on operation complexity; price moves with congestion and is usually quoted in Gwei.

A native ETH transfer baseline is about 21,000 gas; ERC-20 transfer, swap and similar paths are higher and contract-dependent. Built-in presets are experience ranges only.

Optionally pull the chain's current standard gas quote and combine with live native-asset prices for cross-chain and cross-time cost comparison.

How to use

  1. Select the target chain.
  2. Enter gas used or pick a common-operation preset.
  3. Enter Gwei unit price or use Current gas price.
  4. Read native-coin and USD fee estimates.

FAQ

What Gas Limit should I enter on Ethereum?

Simple transfers 21,000; contract calls should follow wallet simulation or similar txs' Gas Used. Presets do not replace on-chain estimateGas.

What is the difference between Gas Limit and Gas Used?

Limit is a ceiling; you are charged for Used and unused gas is refunded. Too-low Limit causes out-of-gas failure and spent gas is not returned.

Why can Layer 2 Gas Fee Calculator results look low?

Rollup totals often include an L1 data-fee component. This calculator focuses on L2 execution gas × price; real bills may be higher.

How should I read Gwei under EIP-1559?

Treat it as base fee + priority fee (base is burned)—aligned with the total gas price wallets display.
