ETH Unit Converter
ETH Unit Converter converts Wei, Gwei and Ether with exact integer math in your local browser. For gas quotes, uint256 checks and 18-decimal EVM amounts.
Calculations and checks on this page run in your browser. Private keys and seed phrases are never uploaded to the server.
About this tool
ETH Unit Converter converts between Wei and common units such as Gwei and Ether: 1 ETH = 10¹⁸ Wei. On-chain state and contracts usually store amounts in Wei; gas unit price is often shown in Gwei.
Conversion runs in the local browser with integer precision across the full 18-decimal range, avoiding JavaScript floating-point rounding.
The same 10¹⁸ scale applies to BNB, POL and most other 18-decimal EVM native assets (tokens with other decimals need the Token Decimals Converter).
How to use
- Enter a value in any unit field.
- Other unit fields update in sync.
- Copy the unit result you need.
FAQ
How many Gwei and Wei are in 1 ETH?
1 ETH = 10⁹ Gwei = 10¹⁸ Wei. In gas quotes, 1 Gwei means 10⁻⁹ ETH per gas unit.
Why are smart-contract amounts huge integers?
Solidity types such as uint256 store value as integers, usually in Wei. For example, 1.5 ETH is 1500000000000000000 on-chain.
Can ETH Unit Converter be used for USDT?
Not with this fixed 18-decimal table. USDT and USDC on Ethereum mainnet often use 6 decimals—use Token Decimals Converter with the contract decimals.
Are Szabo and Finney still used?
They are early Ethereum named units (10¹² Wei and 10¹⁵ Wei). Rare today, but they still appear in older docs and some UIs.
